This is it. This is my very first blog post.

To be quite frank, I’m not a great writer and I don’t exactly know how to do this whole blog thing. So I’ll start with the basics. If you haven’t heard, my name is Summer Olivia. I’m a 20 year old web designer & developer based out of Indiana, but I also have quite the affinity for traveling. Up to this point, I’ve been to over 15 countries, three continents & made some of the best memories of my life through travel.

That being said, I had never left my home country of the USA until I was 18 – a mere two (almost three) years ago. My first time leaving the country was on a cruise, which was (let’s be honest), not the most realistic way to experience Honduras, Belize & Mexico.

Regardless, I was quickly bitten by the travel bug. And it has only escalated at what some might consider an increasingly dangerous rate. But when you have the travel bug, what else can you do but create a travel blog?!

In all seriousness, I want to share what I’ve learned through my travels with those interested and potentially inspire a few people. It’s been a rollercoaster these past few years – but all of it led me to this point: sitting at my computer, writing a blog post for someone, somewhere in the world.

By no means do I think I’m the wisest 20-something out there. But I think I have knowledge worth sharing and stories worth telling. So here I am. And this is the world Via Summer.
